Technologies for Labwater Production

Labwater is produced by EDI systems combine two purification steps: reverse osmosis and electrodiaresis.

The electrodiaresis removes cations and anions using ionic sensitive membranes and highly specified resins. Electricity is used to dissociate water into protons and hydroxide anions for continuous regeneration of the resins.

Changing conductivity well known from regenerable mixed beds is now obsolete.

One of the advantages of this technology is the decrease of microorganisms and TOC.
